Auto-extracts amount, currency, date

AI doesn't only read the total — it also tries to extract currency, date, and merchant name. Both printed and handwritten receipts work, with accuracy varying by photo clarity.

Multi-language receipt support

Traditional Chinese, simplified Chinese, Japanese, English, and Thai receipts are supported. A Japanese izakaya receipt, a Thai night-market price list, or a Singaporean English invoice all work.

Multi-currency auto conversion

Once the currency (JPY, USD, etc.) is identified, the amount auto-converts to the group's primary currency using that day's rate. The day-rate is stored so settlement stays consistent later.

Draft confirmation flow

AI generates a draft; nothing writes to the ledger until you confirm. We recommend verifying important amounts manually. AI is "a tool to save typing", not "a tool that decides for you".

AI receipt scanning — FAQ

How accurate is AI receipt scanning?+
Accuracy depends on (a) photo clarity, (b) receipt format (digital / printed / handwritten), and (c) language. Digital receipts and crisp printed ones generally read well; blurry photos, handwritten receipts, and unusual layouts reduce accuracy. We recommend manually verifying important amounts — AI is "a draft to save typing".
Which receipt languages are supported?+
Traditional Chinese, simplified Chinese, Japanese, English, and Thai. Other languages (Korean, Vietnamese, Indonesian) currently have lower accuracy — manual entry recommended for those.
Will blurry or glare-affected photos work?+
You can try, but accuracy drops. Tips: well-lit, no flash glare, receipt fully in frame, text oriented correctly. If one shot doesn't work, retake it — AI is an aid, not a miracle.
What if the AI reads something wrong?+
On the draft confirmation page, every field (amount, currency, date, merchant) is directly editable before you save. AI generates the draft; you confirm. Any mistake can be fixed inline.
Can it split menu items automatically?+
It can try. AI extracts menu items and unit prices into the draft as candidate "items". Assigning who ate what (the actual itemized split) is done manually in the Mr.Splitter UI.
What does "10 per month" mean exactly?+
Each calendar month, you can use AI receipt scanning 10 times (success or failure both count). Resets at month-end. Pro subscription is unlimited.
Are my receipt photos stored or used to train AI?+
Images are temporarily held during processing and deleted per the retention policy (see Privacy Policy). We do not feed user receipts into third-party model training.
